Written review:
F1 is basically like Top Gun: Maverick but with less planes and way more rich people turning left at 200 mph. The racing scenes are absolutely insane—shot during real Grand Prix weekends, so the whole thing feels ridiculously immersive and expensive in the best way. Brad Pitt does his usual “older guy who still somehow looks cooler than everyone else” routine, and it works, even if the story itself is pretty predictable sports-drama territory. This is one of those movies where you can tell the filmmakers cared more about making you feel fast than reinventing storytelling. I loved the adrenaline but I will say the plot can get a little generic once the novelty wears off. Still, as a theater experience? Loud, dramatic, unnecessarily intense—exactly what you want.
